George Municipality water purification visit

George Municipality water purification plant personnel provided first year students from the South Cape Karoo Nursing Campus a glimpse of what goes into the purification of water during a tour of the plant yesterday.

The municipality regularly hosts schools, universities and interest groups as part of the local authority’s efforts to make people more conscious of the value of drinking water.

The level of the city’s main water source, the Garden Route Dam, is nearing the 45% mark, which will bring about Section 2C restrictions.
