Good rains recorded in several areas over Eastern and Southern Cape overnight

Some nice follow-up rain that fell over the Eastern and Southern Cape overnight boosted the main catchment areas of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, the Port Elizabeth office of the South African Weather Service said on Wednesday.

According to Garth Sampson, the SA Weather Service's Client Liaison Officer for the Eastern Cape, Jourbetina received much of the rain at 62.4mm while George had 59.2mm and Kareedouw recorded 40mm of rain. Plettenberg Bay recorded 40mm of rain.

In the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, the Flower Reserve area recorded 20.6mm of rain while St Albans recorded 11.8mm.
