Granny and her young granddaughters die in house fire
Police say they were called to the scene of a house fire on Thursday morning at Zizeni Location, Tshatshu outside King Williams Town.
"On arrival, they found three bodies - of a 67-year-old female and her granddaughters, aged 3 and 6 years," said police spokesperson, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa.
"There is no foul play suspected, but police investigation continues to determine the cause of death.
"An inquest docket has been opened."
