GWM re-packages M4 crossover

Having posted commendable sales since its local introduction two years ago, Great Wall Motors (GWM) has given its M4 mini-crossover a midlife facelift with subtle cosmetic changes and new comfort items.

Compared to its predecessor, the M4 now boasts a restyled front grille and gains LED daytime running lights as well as 16-inch alloy wheels. A car locating function and sonar revere radar completes the list of changes.

Standard kit remains high and includes electric windows all around with one touch function for the driver, Bluetooth, cruise control, automatic air-conditioning, dual front airbags and ABS with EBD.

Up front, the M4 remains mechanically unchanged with power still coming from GWM’s 1.5-litre petrol engine that makes 71 kW and 138 N.m of torque. A five-speed manual is again the only transmission offered.

A five year / 100 000 km is included in the M4’s R189 900 asking price with a five year / 60 000 km service plan being optional.
