Help Port Elizabeth police find 11-year-old boy missing since 13 February

Missing Port Elizabeth boy was in the care of a grand parent when he disappeared while his father was out of the country.

The Port Elizabeth Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit is urgently seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a missing 11-year old boy, who is reported missing since 13 February 2019.

According to police information, Joozay Jacobus, residing in the Qunu settlement in Bethelsdorp was last seen by his father’s fiancé at home.

"It is alleged that the boy was reprimanded by the fiancé and he then left home," said police spokesperson, Col Priscilla Naidu.

"The boy’s father had left for Swaziland on that day and when he returned on the 21st of February, he was informed that the boy is missing since 13/02."

She said that the boy was in the care of his grandmother.

"Anyone who can assist in tracing Joozay Jacobus or may know of his whereabouts is asked to contact D/Sgt Nomfundiso Vazi on 071 475 1724 or the nearest police station."
