Kragga Kamma Game Reserve now a residential development

Well-known Kragga Kamma Game Park, located on the outskirts of the Port Elizabeth and home to Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe and Zebra, to name but a few of the larger mammal species, is soon to be the place of residence of those people quick enough to acquire a plot on this pristine land.

Anton van der Venter, of Centuary 21 Estate Agents, the sole agents for this development says, “The unique selling point of this development is that residents will have free access to the game park and will have the enviable pleasure of waking up to rhino grazing outside their front door.”

Titled “Kragga Kama Game Park – Residential Estate”, there are three planned phases of development with the 18 plots from the first phase now available for purchase.  Anton says that, in total over the three phases, there are more than 100 plots available.

Access to the residential section of the park will be via Horseshoe Drive in Loraine.  Plots either face onto the reserve or have a sea view and range in size from 980 sq meters to 1400 sq meters and cost between R540 000 and R1.44 million.

“This is a hybrid property scheme where plots are owned by the purchaser but all the plot owners will be part of a home owners association and will be required to pay a nominal levy.

"The game reserve will remain open to the public but the roads used by visitors do not encroach on the residential estates.  The costs of managing the reserve will be covered by the visitors,” adds Anton.
