Kwanobuhle detectives appeal for leads after two men gunned down

Kwanobuhle police, in Uitenhage, say they have launched a manhunt after two men where found with gunshot wounds to their heads over the weekend.

"Detectives from the South African Police Service in Kwanobuhle are also looking for any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect/s involved in the murder of Wandile Latile (33) and an unidentified male," described police spokesperson, Capt Gerda Swart.

"It is alleged that Latile and the unidentified male was visiting the Meat Corner in Mabandla Road, Kwanobuhle, on Sunday night, and stepped out of the premises at about 20:20 and walked to Latile’s vehicle."

A few minutes later gunshots were heard and community members rushed to the two males and found them lying in the street, next to their vehicles. 

"Both had fatal gunshot wounds to their heads. 

"At this stage the motive for the killings are not known and police are appealing to the community to assist with information," said Capt Swart.

"Kwanobuhle SAPS are investigating a case of murder and detectives are following up on all possible leads.
