Moms take centre stage at The Boardwalk on Mother’s Day, Sunday the 8th of May 2016, with sumptuous food, a lively atmosphere, and lucky draws.

In acknowledgment of how special moms are and the vital role they play in the health and sustainability of every community, The Boardwalk’s culinary team has designed a sumptuous feast fit for royalty at Kipling’s Brasserie.

The extensive Mother’s Day lunch buffet includes a choice of fresh ingredients to create customized salads for starters followed by homemade soups and a selection of breads. 

The main dishes include Spinach and Feta Cannelloni with Roasted Tomato and Three Cheese Sauce; Lemon and Herb Roasted Chicken; succulent Beef Medallions with Potato Dauphinoise; Chicken Tikka;  Durban Lamb Curry; Pork Belly with Braised Red Cabbage, and Grilled Hake with a Mussel Risotto. The carvery station features perfectly roasted meats and vegetables.

The feast culminates with a choice of exquisite desserts including the age old South African favourite Malva Pudding; Custard; Mini Pavlova with Berry Compote; Crème Brûlée; Apple Pie;  Bar One Cake; Peppermint Crisp Tarts; Lemon Posset, and a delightful  Citrus Cheesecake. At The Boardwalk’s speciality seafood restaurant, Coast, moms and their loved ones can feast on a mouthwatering three-course seafood lunch for R245 per person. At the vibrant gourmet burger and rib restaurant, Craft, a proudly South African Mothers day meal awaits, with a hearty braai-inspired meal.
