Man busted for dealing in dagga in East London's Quigney suburb

A case of dealing in dagga was registered on Sunday by East London Crime prevention members after following up an information at Clifford Street, in Quigney, where they arrested a 33-year-old male suspect.

"They went and searched the house. 300 grams of dagga, five boxes containing small plastic packs that are used in selling this dagga plus R5 590 in cash was found and confiscated," described police spokesperson, W/O Hazel Mqala.

"The suspect is possession of assylum Seekers papers that are still valid and immigration officers will be notified."

She said that he would appear in the East London Magistrate's Court on Monday.
