Suspects arrested for assault GBH and business robbery in King Williams Town

King Williams Town - The King William’s Town Flying Squad arrested two suspects, aged 23 and 25 years, in Noncampa Location on Monday for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

"It is alleged that the suspects attacked the victim after an argument and stabbed him leaving severe wounds in the face and head," said police spokeperson, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa.

"The complainant showed the Police where the suspects live and on arrival police found both suspects and arrested them."

She said that in a separate incident, Members of Flying Squad, after receiving information from the community, arrested a 21-year-old male from Izele for a business robbery that occurred in December 2018.

"Police followed an information they received and managed to arrest him from his home," Capt Mawisa said.

"The suspects will appear at Zwelitsha Magistrate's Court on Thursday."

King William's Town SAPS Cluster Commander, Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga, commended the members for their commitment in fighting crime in their policing precinct.

He said if they continue with operations of this nature, they will conquer crime in the King William’s Town and surrounding areas.

"This sends a strong message that the Police will leave no stone unturned when it comes to crime."
