Mdantsane woman killer surrenders after a year

The brother of a woman, who was found raped and murdered in Mdantsane, East London, last year, has handed himself over to police in connection with her killing.

According to police spokesman Captain Mbulelo Mbi, they had no lead or a suspect before the woman’s brother Ayanda Bolosha, 21, surrendered himself.

Mdantsane NU 6 Xolisa Bolosha, 31, was raped and repeatedly stabbed to death in the early hours of 27th of July 2014. Her body was then found in a bushy area nearby Cecilia Makiwane Hospital.

Captain Mbi said the perpetrator arrived at Vulindlela police station in NU 12 accompanied by a relative and told the police of his involvement of his sister’s murder. He was then taken into custody.

“We understand the issue was bothering him and he spoke to his family about it,” he added.

The police’s further investigation has led the police to believe that two more people were involved in the murder.

“The one suspect is already prison for another crime and the other is still at large,” Mbi said.
