Mt Fletcher man sentenced to a year behind bars for ritual bestiality with a donkey

The Mt Fletcher Magistrate Court last week sentenced a 23-year-old man, Ntandazo Mnkungwini, to 12 months behind bars after convicting him of bestiality – or intercourse with an animal, in an apparent ritual.

According to the police, Mnkungwini was caught having intercourse with a donkey in an open field in Chavy Chase Village, Mt Fletcher, on the 20th of September.

“The person, who caught him had to ask him as to why he was doing that, he then responded by saying he was advised by a traditional healer to have sexual intercourse with a donkey in order for the muthi he was given by that Songama to work,” said police spokesperson, Captain Raphael Motloung.

Mnkungwini did find a donkey in an open veld and forcibly had intercourse with it before he was caught, the court heard during proceedings on the 28th of September.

The Mt Fletcher Magistrate’s Court convicted him of bestiality and slapped him with a 12-month jail term.
