NATIONAL BRAAI TOUR: Swartkops Sea Salt joins National Braai Tour

Nelson Mandela Bay based company Swartkops Sea Salt (Pty) LTD, the biggest and longest standing natural sea salt producing mine in South Africa, is making Port Elizabeth proud by joining forces with Jan Braai for the National Braai Tour.

This epic eight day braai tour takes place from the 13th to the 20th of September as a build-up tour to National Heritage Day on 24 September 2014.

Marina Braai Salt, one of the company’s famous products will be the official spice of the tour across South Africa.  30 teams will all trek in convoy to various heritage sites in celebration of the upcoming National Heritage Day. The tour spans across 2200+km of our beautiful country with a braai at each of the eight stops. The well recognized orange bottle will be prominent at every braai.

The National Braai Tour is a self drive type tour where each team of patriotic South Africans will be travelling in their own cars across the country. The teams will start in Johannesburg, ending in Cape Town, with plenty of stops to enjoy the best of what South African National Parks have to offer.

National Heritage Dayis a public holiday where all South Africans are encouraged to celebrate their heritage by wearing traditional clothes, preparing traditional food, exchanging stories and sharing cultures. This tour is guaranteed to bring out great times of fun and adventure, over many open flames and plenty of steak.

The tour stretches into the Eastern Cape and Marina Sea Salt is proud to welcome all the teams to its birthplace. Marina will bring both flavour to the meat, as well as the flavour of Port Elizabeth to the rest of South Africa.
