National Bus Strike: GO GEORGE bus says services still suspended after buses seen on roads

The GO GEORGE bus service on Wednesday reiterated that its services are still suspended until further notice during the national bus strike that began on Wednesday. This is after a small group of dedicated drivers came to work in the morning.

"GO GEORGE was therefore able to deliver a limited service on two main routes, 1A (New Dawn Park – CBD) and 2 (Blanco – CBD),  during the early peak," the company said.

"However, in light of the safety of these drivers and to protect them against possible victimisation and intimidation relating to the national strike, these services will not be operational for the rest of the day and all GO GEORGE services remain suspended until further notice.

"The latest information can be obtained from the GO GEORGE Call Centre, 0800 044 044, the GO GEORGE Facebook page and the website, www.gogeorge.org.za."
