New e-commerce entrant, Spree, wins Best Online Shopping Site award

South Africa’s premier e-commerce retailer, Spree, has just picked up the 2014 Leisure Options Best of Joburg Readers’ Choice Awards, Best Online Shopping Site award.

The category finalists represent the best in online retail and this award is a welcome acknowledgement of Spree’s commitment to customer service and fashion in the first 18 months since its launch.

Readers of Leisure Options Magazine nominated their favourite brands in the Joburg Reader’s Choice Awards categories.

The popular magazine, which provides a guide on travel, mall-crawling, stage, film, books, art and décor in greater Johannesburg, gave their readers the opportunity to vote for the brands they value while standing a chance to win one of five amazing prizes on offer.

Initially launched as the ladies fashion online retailer Sarie.com, the e-tailer, part of the Media24 e-commerce division quickly evolved into Spree.co.za. Since the start of trading the online retailer has expanded its offering into fashion for kids and babies, home décor and gifts and, more recently, beauty and menswear.

“Spree’s aim is to make fashion, beauty and lifestyle shopping more enjoyable, accessible, convenient and easy for consumers and this award simply confirms we’re headed in the right direction,” concludes Lohann.
