A 44-year-old woman from Ngqamakhwe, who was arrested by police on Monday night for the alleged murder of her boyfriend, also aged 44, during an argument, is again expected to appear in court on the 5th of October for formal bail application.

The suspect, now identified as Nosipho Nyanda, appeared before the Ngqamakhwe Magistrate's Court on Wednesday for the murder of Xola Sipuka.

"The two were at the homestead of the suspect at Maxelegwini Location, Sokapase Village, Ngqamakhwe," said police spokesperson, Capt Jackson Manatha.

"They had a misunderstanding that is still vague to the police.

"It is alleged that the suspect drew table knife and stabbed the deceased on his upper body."

Captain Manatha said that the crime took place on Monday, at about 20:00.

"The deceased was rushed to Ngqamakhwe Health Centre where he was declared dead on arrival.

"The suspect was then arrested by the police," he described.
