Nissan NP200 goes stealth

Nissan South Africa has launched a special edition version of its popular NP200 bakkie with mostly cosmetic tweaks and a range of standard equipment normally reserved for higher spec models or available as optional extras.

Based on the entry-level eight valve S model, and only available in a colour called dark techno grey, the NP200 Stealth features a body matching dark coloured grille, sports nudge bar, dark black rollbar, charcoal coloured 15-inch alloy wheels with red hubs, matching tonneau cover, daytime running lights and special STEALTH decals on the sides and on the tailgate.

Changes to the interior are less prominent but includes eco leather trimmed seats with titanium-coloured stitching, and STEALTH badging on the floor mats and seats. Standard spec includes an Alpine CD audio system with Bluetooth / USB / aux input, air-conditioning, central locking, dual airbags, ABS and EBD.

Power remains unchanged and is provided by a 1.6-litre petrol engine that makes 64 kW and 128 N.m of torque. Fuel consumption is rated at 8.0 L/100 km and emissions at 192g/km.

Priced at R169 000, the Stealth also comes standard with a six-year / 150 000 km warranty.
