Off-duty King Williams Town Constable nabs suspect, recovers stolen TVs
Whilst off-duty, a Constable stationed at King Williams Town SAPS followed up on information received on Wednesday night and arrested one suspect, aged 26 years old, who was allegedly involved in a robbery where plasma televisions were taken from a truck along Walker Street, King Williams Town.
"The suspect was arrested in town and taken to Ginsberg Township where they recovered one plasma television (a Hisense 39 inch)," explained police spokesperson, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa.
"Two more plasma televisions were also recovered around town, which were allegedly stolen in a housebreaking case.
"The suspect will appear at the King Williams Town Magistrate's Court later this week on a charge of robbery."
Constable Andile Zenzile commended for his dedication to his job
The King Williams Town Acting Cluster Commander, Colonel Nomonde Mene, thanked Constable Andile Zenzile for his dedication and commitment in fighting crime.
She commended the member for a job well done and ensuring that the suspect is behind bars and property is recovered.
"I thank the community for sharing valuable information that led to this arrest and recovery," she added.
