One Land Love It partners with local businesses to fight rhino poaching

The One Land Love It (OLLI) family recently celebrated becoming a registered Non-Profit Corporation (NPC) as they continue in their efforts to create awareness for rhino conservation and help raise funds to put an end to poaching.

“We are very excited that our NPC is now registered and we are making good progress there,” said Nikki Bolton, of the OLLI group, speaking to RNEWS.

The OLLI initiative began in 2015, when Nikki’s husband and a Port Elizabeth-based businessman, Wayne Bolton, decided to do something to assist the SANParks rangers with their rhino conservation efforts.

He embarked on the One Land Love It Expedition, which saw him cycle from the Kruger National Park to all National Parks down to the Addo National Park. In the process, he raised funds to equip the SANParks rangers as they battle well-equipped poachers.

Wayne physically and symbolically linked the various parks around South Africa by traveling via bicycle on a specific route through all the SANParks.

He hopes to provide ordinary people with an opportunity to make a contribution by supporting his efforts through the expeditions.

As part of OLLI’s #JointCustody initiative, which aims to spread the word of OLLI by collaborating with local businesses that are keen to make a difference, OLLI has recently partnered with Fastway Couriers.

“Our OLLI family keeps growing with individuals and companies partnering with us to bring about change.

“Locally some of the companies include IT Design responsible and sponsoring our Webpage design and hosting, Graphic Vine assisting with designing our scroll and other graphic design related needs, Daltar sponsors all our printing,” said Nikki.

“Havilah Jewellers have designed the Heartbeat of Africa Collection to assist with raising funds, Avis Van Rentals support us with a vehicle on each expedition, The Boardwalk Sun assists when we need a venue, and NMBT are a committed sponsor along with other local companies.”

The partnership with Fastway Couriers will help for orders of their Heartbeat of Africa Collection at their online shop.

“Fastway Couriers are giving us a wonderful discount which means that we can raise even more for our beneficiaries.”
