Over 54 suspects arrested for various crime in King Williams Town
Over the past weekend, police in the King Williams Town SAPS Cluster were busy with their routine patrols in the town's Central Business and in other areas that form the Cluster policing area.
"Police were also on foot patrol doing stop and search in the areas and they managed to arrest more than 54 suspects, aged between 24 and 58 years old, for crimes ranging from drunkenness, possession of stolen property, common robbery, theft, possession of drugs, drunken driving, common assault and malicious damage to property," said police spokesperson, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa.

She said that these suspects will appear at different Magistrate's courts on Monday and Tuesday.
King William’s Town Cluster Commander, Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga, said that police are committed in fighting crime and in full force in tracking down the perpetrators of crime.
"We will keep on doing stop and search and roadblocks to prevent crime in our area. He also thanked the community for sharing valuable information with SAPS and encouraged them to report any criminal activities to 08600 10111."
