PE’s Mt Croix Watch ready for the Festive Season, thanks to tech & cash donation

A neighbourhood watch in Port Elizabeth has received a welcome boost of equipment and cash, just in time for the busy Festive Season. The Mt Croix Watch received six smartphones loaded with a communication ‘app’ used by security companies and fifteen reflective vests from ADT Security.

“We are proud to be able to support community watches with the work they do, whether through logistical support or by making tangible donations such as these,” says Ryan Britz, branch manager in Port Elizabeth for ADT.

“We donated six smartphones to the value of R18 000, pre-loaded with the PTT app. ADT is also making a contribution towards the monthly data fees for the phones.”

The PTT app is used in the dispatching of vehicles when an alarm signal is received.

“We hope these phones and the reflective vests we donated will help the Mt Croix Watch to keep people safe during these holidays and into the new year,” says Britz.
