Planned water shutdown to affect Coega and Colchester on Wednesday

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality on Tuesday advised residents of a scheduled shutdown of the 450 mm water supply pipeline in the Coega and Colchester Area on Wednesday, 21 June 2017 from 07h00am.

"This is in order to repair a bad water leak at the N2 / Neptune Road interchange," the municipality said.

"The work has, until now, been delayed due to non-availability of specialised pipes and fittings.

"These materials have now arrived and the work must be done as soon as possible in order to avoid further water losses."

The shutdown us expected to affect Coega zones 1 and 2, the Port of Ngqura and possibly Colchester.

"Water would be restored later in the afternoon," the municipality said.

"We apologise for the inconvenience."
