Police appeal for help after human skeleton found at Kinklebos

Port Elizabeth police have opened investigations after a human skeleton was found by a woman on Monday afternoon, in the bushes near Kinklebos.

According to police information, on Monday, at about 17:30, the woman in her 40’s was walking in the bushes near the N2 before the railway line when she stumbled on the skeleton.

"The woman was looking for medicinal herbs in the bushes. Police was alerted at about 20:45 and the skeleton was removed by the forensic pathologist. An inquest docket is opened," said police spokesperson, Col Priscilla Naidu.

Police appeal to residents to help identify skeleton

"Kinklebos police is requesting the community to contact them if they know of any family or friend that went missing over a long period. The Station Commander, Capt Vuyisile Tembani may be contacted on 082 779 7251."
