Police appeal for leads after two men shot dead in KwaNobuhle

Police in KwaNobuhle, Uitenhage, have launched a manhunt for suspects following the murder of two males, aged between 18 and 30 years old, on Monday afternoon.

It is alleged that the two males were walking in Ngcwabe Street, KwaNobuhle, at about 13:00 on Monday, when shots were fired - fatally injuring one of the males and wounding the second male, who passed on soon after he was taken to a local hospital.  

“At this stage the motive for the killings of the two men are unknown and police are appealing to the community to assist them with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects,” said police spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart.

She added that names of victims will be released after formal identification is done by their next-of-kin. 

However, Detectives from the South African Police Service in KwaNobuhle are also looking for any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect/s involved in the murders.
