Police need assistance finding missing Missionvale woman

Missing Missionvale woman was dropped off at Kenako Mall, Port Elizabeth, but later called family saying she was in Johannesburg - she has not been heard from since.

Algoa Park detectives in Port Elizabeth are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a missing 22-year-old woman, who went missing on Friday last week.

According to police information, Siyamthanda Tembukazi Ncapayi, from Peace Street, Missionvale, Port Elizabeth, was dropped off at the Kenako Mall in Spondo Road, Struandale, at at 09:00 by her mother.

"She never returned home," said police spokesperson, Col Priscilla Naidu.

"On Monday, she contacted her cousin and informed her that she is in Johannesburg and using a taxi driver’s phone as she had no airtime or money.

"No contact was made with family thereafter.

"She was last wearing beige pants, light army green jacket and black takkies. She has short hair."

Missing Missionvale has bipolar disorder 

According to her family, Ms Ncapayi was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

"A missing person report was opened at SAPS Algoa Park on Wednesday," said Col Naidu.

"Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in tracing Ms Ncapayi to urgently contact D/Const Zukile Jeke on 041 4091000 or Crime Stop 08600 10111 or their nearest police station."
