Police need help identifying two bodies and tracing missing elderly man

Police in Motherwell and Kwadwesi on Thursday made an appeal to local residents to assist with the identification of two bodies as well as with information that can help them find a missing 79-year-old man.

"The missing person, Mr Kwete Philip Ngubo, a 79-year-old male suffering from Dementia, went missing from the Motherwell Clinic on 7 March 2018 at about 22:00," said police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge.

"Any person with information can contact Detective Warrant Officer Pieter Veldtman at 041 405 6500 or 405 6506."

Capt Beetge said that In Kwadwesi, the body of an unknown male aged between 40 to 50 were found on 1 April 2018 in bushes near Ralo Street, Kwamagxaki.

"He was wearing a blue pair of pants, blue check shirt and a purple KWay beanie. Any person that could assist to identify him, can contact Detective Warrant Officer Wayne Du Preez at 072 489 8253."

He further said that on 10 April 2018, at about 20:00, a female aged between 25 and 30 was bumped by a taxi in Kaulela Street, NU9, Motherwell.

"She died on the scene. She did not have any identification documents with her. Any person that could assist to identify her can contact Detective Warrant Officer Anton van Eck on 082 388 5046."
