Port Elizabeth police need help finding missing teenager

The Port Elizabeth Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is urgently seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a 17-year-old girl, who went missing on Wednesday.

According to police information, Logan Butteress was dropped off after school in William Slammert Road by her lift club.

“It was not far from her home in Siyazama Street in Timothy Valley Bethelsdorp,” said police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu.

“She was still in her Westview High School uniform. She did not go home and that was last time anyone had seen her.”

Col Naidu said that her parents reported her missing on the same evening.

Her disappearance is being investigated by D/W/O Grant Measures from the FCS Unit.

“Anyone who can assist in tracing Butteress or may have any information about her disappearance is asked to contact W/O Measures on 072 732 4220 or Crime Stop 08600 10111 or Crime Line on 32211 or their nearest police station.”
