Port Elizabeth police need help tracing runaway teen

Port Elizabeth - The Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit in Port Elizabeth are urgently trying to trace the whereabouts of a 16-year-old from Jacksonville in Port Elizabeth.

According to police information, the teenager allegedly ran away from home in March 2019 and has not yet returned.

"Keenan Van Heerden left his house in Mpuko Street in Jacksonville during the Easter weekend," said police spokesperson, Col Priscilla Naidu.

"A week prior to leaving home, he was found at a drug post in the area and brought home.

"According to his mother, he ran away again and has since not returned."

Col Nadu said that he has been seen by people in Central, Port Elizabeth.

"He was reported missing to police on 19 June 2019," she added.

"Anyone who may have seen him or may know of his whereabouts is asked to contact D/Sgt Luzuko Pehlo on 082 565 0155 or 041 401 3000 or Crime Stop 08600 10111."
