A teenager reported missing in Port Elizabeth in April this year has been found.

Rosche Wesso, 14 years old ,was found on Sunday, at a house in Kuyga in the Kabega Park area of Port Elizabeth.

"Between 08:00-09:00, community members from Jacksonville went to the address and found the teenager at the house of a friend," said police spokesperson, Col Priscilla Naidu.

"She was taken back home to the family and will be referred to social workers  for further counselling and assistance."

The Port Elizabeth Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit had appealed for help in tracing the teenager.

"Rosche Wesso aged 14, was last seen in the afternoon  on 17 April 2018,  after leaving a relative’s  home in Windvogel," said Colonel Naidu last week.

"She was alone and didn’t indicate where she was going.

"At the time, she was wearing her pyjamas."

According to her mother, she has left home previously, but this is the longest that she has gone without contacting anybody.

"She was seen several times in the Kuyga area as recent as Sunday, 20/05 and appears to be evading police."

Col Naidu said that it was believed that she was living with friends in Jacksonville.
