Proteas cut Sri Lanka well-short

South Africa cruised to a 121-run win over Sri Lanka on Wednesday night in the second ODI at Kingsmead, Durban, to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

A stern 117-run partnership between David Miller and Faf du Plessis amalgamated the Proteas to their total of 307/6 in their 50 lot of overs, with Miller scoring an unbeaten 117 and du Plessis 105 respectively.

In their batting spell, Sri Lanka were then all-taken out for 186, as Imran Tahir (2/26), JP Duminy (2/30) and Wayne Parnell (2/34) evenly dispersed their contribution to cutting Sri Lanka short.

The third ODI will take place at the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, on the 4th of February, with the Proteas seeking to seal the series 3-0.
