Provincial search for Miss Berlin November 2018

The 2nd Annual Miss Berlin November 2018 Pageant is set to kick off from Saturday 22 September at Mdantsane City Mall, in Mdantsane, East London, where aspiring models will be auditioned with the winner set to represent Buffalo City Metro at the finale.

Cofimvaba born Noloyiso Ngalo - Unolali is the brains behind the Miss Berlin November concept, she is a fashion designer by trade and proud owner of Versatile Dimplestlyes fashion house. Her vision for the pageant remains grounded in producing a platform for Eastern Cape youth to express their talents during this red-carpet event.

Miss Berlin November is governed by three pillars: Entrepreneurship, Social ills and Responsibilities & Youth development.

To ensure equal representation of the province, a roadshow commences in Mdantsane this coming Saturday (22 September 2018) and will thereafter see all 6 Districts and remaining Metro host their own auditions. More details will be communicated via our social media pages:

Participation is limited to post-matric youths between 19 and 34 years of age.

"Each District will be represented at least by two participants. The main event is scheduled to take place on the 17th of November," described Sinethemba Gayiza, Media Liaison Officer.

"We call upon all interested young ladies to come forward and audition at their respective District, but most notably we call upon their families and friends to also support them. Fashion and Modelling are decent career choices that can provide stability, financial freedom and career growth if one gets the necessary support and encouragement.

"The creative industry is where investments should be directed to if interest really is to empower young people because that is where you find them content and full of passion. It is because of this that we saw it fitting to have Miss Berlin November as a product that is inclusive of all regions."

Gayiza added that during their planned roadshows, they aim to inspire parents and communities to support their daughters as they harbor ambitions of being active in the modelling industry.

"We aim to dispel the notion that modelling and the creative industry as a whole are just hobbies one must outgrow."
