Public assistance needed in Houtbay inquest case

The SAPS' Western Cape Provincial Detectives are seeking information from the public that can assist them in an investigation into the cause of the death of Aldred Coenraad Beukes.

"Aldred Coenraad Beukes was originally from Keimoes in the Northern Cape Province," said police spokesperson, Captain FC Van Wyk.

"When he came to Cape Town, he was employed as a Security Official. He stayed in Parow. From July 2005, he was employed at Grand West Casino.

"During August 2010, he resigned from Grand West Casino, saying that he is going to his girlfriend and will be working in the Knysna/George area as an Events Manager and will be staying with friends."

Capt Van Wyk said that he was, thereafter, again seen in Cape Town employed as a Security Official.

"On 25 January 2015, his body was found at Sandy Bay, near Hout Bay," he added.

"An inquest has been registered to confirm the cause of his death."
