Renovated Conville Library re-opened

Conville Library is now operational and boasts a bigger and better facility for the usage and convenience of the community.

According to Rachel Williams, Manager: George Libraries, the library offers several services, which include: Recreational reading material, Reference material, Internet connectivity, games for children and current awareness programmes.

The services that are delivered by Conville Library range from the provision of information by means of printed material (that is books, magazines, newspapers, pamphlets, and more), electronic resources (Internet facilities) and audio-visual material (cd’s, dvd’s, etc.) as well as notice and display boards.

The library also fulfils a recreational and educational aspect. This library is a social hub that provides a welcome, safe and inclusive environment to the different communities that are making use of it, Williams said.

The library furthermore, provides a beautiful, light filtered study and activity area as well as a community hall. This modern, spacious building, with state-of-the art equipment, is already well used and in operation since last Wednesday. The building was completed in April 2017.

Experienced, well informed staff members are eager and ready to be of service to the different communities that have made use of this library since 1978.

Conville Library operating hours are from 09:00 until 17:30 during the week. On Saturdays, it is open from 09:00 until 12:00.
