SAPS Humewood Women’s Network bring Christmas cheer to the homeless

Police officers from the SAPS Humewood Women’s Network, in Port Elizabeth,  and support staff on Wednesday opened their hearts and bestowed love and kindness on 16 homeless children.

"The children were given a shower, clean clothing and a nutritious plate of food on this rainy and cold day," described police spokesperson, Col Priscilla Naidu.

"This goodwill initiative will continue throughout the festive season in various parts of the Humewood area.

"These young children need to feel that they belong and that there is hope beyond their circumstances. Well done SAPS Humewood!"

She quoted the late Princess Diana, who once said: 'Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of a reward, safe in the knowledge that someday, someone might do the same for you.’
