Saving water is the way! C’mon, let’s save the day!

Children from Zwelihle Primary joined the colourful characters of Story Team, as they celebrated an extended Water Campaign recently.

"The puppet show production, hosted by Overstrand Municipality, focussed on water and talked to the grade 1’s about the importance of recycling and the dangers of polluting the sea," said Spokesperson, Riana Steenekamp.

"The characters teach the little ones to care for the environment and hopefully also equip them with skills regarding respect, empathy, responsibility, and teach them about consequences for actions.

"With that in mind, kids also develop an understanding of the ecosystem and how precious the earth is."

• The Puppet show on water is done in Afrikaans, English and isiXhosa and taken to primary schools in the Overstrand area.
