Decked with glittering red and gold and lit up by Chinese lanterns, the complex will be a hive of colourful activity 20to welcome the Year of the Rooster.

Chinese Dragon dancers will perform dazzling displays in The Boardwalk’s retail section and on the casino floor. The public is urged to come down and watch the spectacle at 20h30, in the retail section, and 20h15, in the casino. There will be other surprises and delights for guests on the night.

Chinese New Year is also known as the Spring Festival and is marked by the lunisolar Chinese calendar, so the date changes from year to year. Each Chinese New Year is characterised by one of 12 animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac. This year it's the Year of the Rooster.

“You don’t have to be Chinese to celebrate Chinese New Year.  Join millions of people around the world in marking the start of the Year of the Rooster, and wish each other ‘Slin Nen Fai Lok’ at the Boardwalk,” says Siphokazi Ngombane, PR and Promotions Manager at the Boardwalk.
