Shop assistant stabbed during scuffle with armed robbers in KwaNobuhle, manhunt launched
Detectives in KwaNobuhle, Uitenhage, in conjunction with detectives from the Uitenhage Cluster Operational Command Centre have launched a manhunt for four armed suspects, who allegedly robbed a business in Mondile Street, KwaNobuhle, on Monday at about 13:00.
"It is alleged that four males entered the shop, pretending to purchase items," described police spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart.
"One suspect, who drew a firearm, threatened the shop assistant and demanded cash.
"The other three suspects, armed with knives, proceeded to ransack the shop."

She said that a scuffle ensued between one of the suspects and a shop assistant in which the assistant was stabbed.
"The suspects fled on foot from the scene with electronic devices, cash and groceries."
Capt Swart said that KwaNobuhle SAPS were notified and detectives are following up on all possible leads.
