Something for everyone at the Sevens

Something for everyone at the Sevens

WITH less than a week to go to the Cell C Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens tournament in the city, the who’s who are gearing up for the Sevens rugby bonanza and fans are getting their game on.

Here are some great quotes from avid fans looking forward to the event next weekend, 13 and 14 December.

Sarah Hall – Local business woman The Sevens is awesome for us as a family because we love rugby. Knowing that people from all over the world are coming to watch this spectacular from our wonderful stadium is just remarkable. It’s a great way to kick-start our summer holiday – it’s the end of school and it is well worth celebrating. It’s all about being together as a family and supporting South Africa. Go Blitzbokke!

Matthew Hall (13) I am so excited about the Sevens tournament - there’s nothing I love more than rugby. It’s such a competitive and honorable sport. The best part about it is that I get to dress up.

Travis Hall (9) I love the Sevens because it’s such an intense and defensive game. It’s quick, exciting and it unites everyone. I hope the Blitzbokke do well again this year.

Theo Klaas – Bay socialite I love doing things in style and class, so this year I’ll be getting the suite experience at the Cell C Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens. Who doesn’t love mingling with top-notch businessmen and women while being entertained by elite rugby athletes? The stadium is amazing and has a lot to offer – everything is magnificent. I urge everyone to gather friends together and come and enjoy the hospitality in grand style – the vibe will be absolutely thrilling. Last year was fantastic but this year will be even better.

David Zulu – Chippa United Soccer player As a sportsman, I understand the pressure the guys (Blitzbokke) might be feeling at this very moment. They need to apply their mind to the game and focus on achieving that ultimate goal – which is coming out on top. They impressed us last year and I’m certain they will do it again. I do urge the people of the Bay to come support this tournament.
