St Francis Bay brothers released on R1 000 each for cultivating dagga worth R45 000

Two brothers from St Francis Bay were released on R1 000 bail each shortly after they appeared at the Humansdorp Magistrate's Court on charges of cultivating and possession of dagga valued R45 000. 

"On Sunday, at around 21:15, police in possession of a search warrant raided a house in Porto Cervo Road, Santareme, St Francis Bay," described police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli.

"In the premises police seized dagga trees, dagga tubes and dagga bompies valued around R45 000.

"The two men in the premises were arrested."

On Monday, the two suspects, Michael Hill (38) and Jonathan Hill (30), briefly appeared at the Humansdorp Magistrate's Court for charges of cultivating dagga and possession of dagga and were released on R1 000 bail each.

Their case was postponed to 12 June for further investigation.
