Standard Bank Grey High Rugby Festival on today and Saturday

With approximately 1420 players in 48 A-teams, 20 open 1st XVs, Grey High’s 2nd XV nicknamed the Unicorns, as well as their U16B side, all taking to the field, the Standard Bank Grey High Rugby festival held at the school today and Saturday respectively; is one not to be missed!

The festival will utilize a total six rugby fields, four of which are at Grey High and the other two being neighbouring club fields at Old Grey and Police Rugby Club in Kemsley Park respectively.

All 1st XV games will be played on the Philip and Pollock Fields respectively, with some enticing EC match-ups on showing.

The main games on both days, will be when Grey High 1st XV play Johannesburg opponents, Jeppe Boys’ High today at 15:30 and Parktown Boys High at 15:30 on Saturday.

All major EC schools will take part in the festival, and in addition four Johannesburg (Jeppe Boys' High, Parktown Boys' High, St. Davids College and St. Johns College), one Durban (Durban High School) and one Bloemfontein (HTS Louis Botha) based schools.

Selborne College from East London is the only EC powerhouse not taking part in the festival, due to their involvement in the Wildeklawer Schools Rugby Festival in Kimberley over the same weekend.
