Suspected stolen stock recovered near Mthatha

SAPS anti-stock theft unit members from Mthatha, Mqanduli, Tsolo, Qumbu, Elliot , Bizana and Katkop combined forces with Mthatha K9 and Elliot K9 during an operation coded Inyama under #SafetyFriday.

"Suspected stolen 15 cattle were found at the grazing veld at Xhokonxa location in Tsolo and were impounded at Tsolo Municipal Pound," said police spokesperson, Captain Dineo Koena.

"Anyone who has the information may contact D/W/O Sanka on 0798969904 or may visit Tsolo Stock Theft Unit.

"The operation was further conducted in Sulenkama where 43 sheep were found enkraaled at Maqolomba forest Sithaleni locality in Qumbu."

She said that the stock was impounded at Qumbu Municipal Pound.

"We must not give space for these stock thieves, they must feel our presence," said the Acting Cluster Commander Brigadier Asorgen Naidoo when applauding the operators.
