Sway In The Bay is a ballroom dancing contest being held in order to raise funds for the MTR Smit Children’s Haven. This fabulous contest is taking place this Saturday, 22 August 2015 at Walmer Wess School at 19H30.

Funds will assist with the promoting of cultural empowerment of ballroom and Latin dancing for the youth. Funds will also assist MTR Smit Children’s Haven in establishing a sport enhancement programme aimed at improving motoric and muscular skills.

This event promises to be filled with rich entertainment as the professionals taking part have just won nationals. Judges for the evening will consist of Miranda Botha, Peter Mann, George Maree, Neels Van Jaarsveld and Lauren Mungur.

Furthermore, Heinz In Style is the wonderful clothing sponsor of this event.

The first contest was first held in 2008 as a means of raising funds for young dancers participating in the national championship who had limited funds.

The second Sway In The Bay, entitled “Rhythm” was held in 2011.
