Sweet tooth gets trio arrested for shoplifting spree that began in PE to Butterworth

Alert Butterworth police officers arrested two women, aged 32 and 33, as well as a 30-year-old man for possession of suspected stolen property.

"The three were arrested on Saturday night after they stole chocolates at a local garage in Butterworth," said police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha.

"Police further searched their car and found suspected stolen property namely tins of baby milk to the value of R32 000.

"The suspects are believed to have stolen them (tins of baby milk) from Port Elizabeth, East London, King William’s Town."

They were on their way to Mthatha but could not go past Butterworth, he said.
