The 2016 Mayoral Lekgotla

The 2016 Mayoral Lekgotla held on Friday 6th and 7th October not only allowed the new Mayoral-in-Committee members and senior administrative staff the opportunity to strategise on the way forward for George Municipality, but also allowed the George Fire Brigade to proudly show off the new Major Fire and Rescue pumper they will shortly take ownership of.

The Double Cap Man chassis was built in Austria with the sub assembly done by Ramcom and is designed for fire fighting with a 3850 l/min Godiva pump as well as fitted with the latest e-hydraulic rescue tools for motor vehicle accidents.  It is also fitted with a 4 m teloscopic light and a roof monitor with a capacity of 3800l/min.

Other equipment on the vehicle includes: 2 x major fire pumpers, 1 x medium pumper, 2 x water pumpers, 1 x skid unit Cruiser and 1x veld/forest pumper
