The Boardwalk Hotel maintains its Five-Star grading

The beautiful Boardwalk Hotel, which achieved five-star grading from the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA) for the first time in 2014, has maintained its five-star grading following a rigorous grading process in December 2015, and continues to set its own standards in service and facilities.

Enjoying high occupancies throughout the year, The Boardwalk Hotel, is a preferred destination for business travelers to Port Elizabeth while also attracting holidaying tourists from across South Africa and internationally. 31 Percent of the hotel’s guests are there on business while a growing number of guests (45 percent) are there for leisure purposes, with the Easter and December school holidays being the hotel’s bumper periods.

Our emphasis is on continual improvement to deliver on our promise of ‘A Lifetime of Memories’,” says Ayanda Kgwathe, the General Manager at The Boardwalk Hotel.

The emphasis on quality facilities and world class service in 2015 saw the hotel scoop the prestigious Lilizela Tourism Award for excellence in the five-star accommodation category for the Eastern Cape.

For business visitors, the hotel boasts a business centre, high speed internet, gymnasium, a cigar lounge, concierge desk manned by extremely knowledgeable staff, efficient laundry service and newspapers to keep them up to date with current affairs.
