The Mr PE UberMANn Finalists have their first public appearance

An evening of cheering and celebration was held in The Boardwalk Amphitheatre as the 12 finalists for the Sun Boardwalk’s Mr Port Elizabeth UberMANn 2017 competition had their first debut in public on Monday.

The Mr PE competition has been around since 2001 and encourages the young men of Port Elizabeth to become an ambassador for the Friendly City.

The candidates must be between the ages of 20 and 30 and not only have good looks, but attitude and be able to be a role model for the people of Port Elizabeth.

The evening started with the young men showing off their muscles with a swimsuit display, where the crowd cheered for their favourites as they made their way on stage.

Then each finalist walked on stage in their best threads to introduce themselves to the public, and especially the judges, to tell them why they should become the new Mr PE.

The winner will be decided at the Mr PE UberMANn Gala Event, taking place at The Boardwalk Hotel International Convention Centre (ICC) on the 3rd of June from 7pm.
