Three busted for stock theft in Molteno, one linked to robbery and murder
Police in Molteno on Wednesday arrested three suspects for stock theft.
It is alleged that members received information about the stock theft and they quickly formed task team and followed up on the information.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Namhla Mdleleni, the officers arrested the suspects and one suspect was positively linked to the cases of house robbery and murder at Vanderbylpark, in Gauteng.
“Meat was also confiscated from the suspects,” said Captain Mdleleni.
She added that they will appear before court on Thursday.
Cluster Commander Queenstown Major General, Tembisile Patekile, commended the members for the arrest, as stock theft become rifer during the festive season.
