Three expected in Queenstown Magistrate's Court over stock theft

Mlungisi - A crime intelligence driven operation led to arrest of three suspects in possession  of suspected stolen sheep in Mlungisi.

"This is after members from the Flying Squad, under the Command of Captain Nzolo Jack, quickly responded to information of a vehicle loaded with sheep at Mlungisi Township," described police spokesperson, Capt Namhla Mdleleni.

"On arrival at the place, a search  was conducted. 

"Eight live sheep and one carcas were recovered with the value of R13500."

She said that three suspects, aged between 31 and 44 years, were arrested in possession  of stolen sheep.

"The Stock Theft Unit was contacted and all stock believed to be stolen at Bridge Camp Policing Area."

The three suspects are expected before the Queenstown Magistrate's Court soon facing charges of stock theft.

SAPS Cluster Commamder, Major General Siganga Funeka Siganga, commended the members for the quick response.
