Three swiftly arrested after 16-year-old stabbed to death in Kamesh

Uitenhage Acting Cluster Commander, Brigadier Ronald Koll, welcomed the speedy arrest of the three suspects in less than four hours after a 16-year-old boy was murdered in Kamesh on Monday.

"A preliminary investigation has revealed that the deceased, Deacon Whiteboy (16), was stabbed during a street argument with the three suspects in the informal settlement area known as Moegesukkel in Kamesh, on Monday, at around 18:30," described police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli.

"At this stage, the reason for the argument is unknown.

"The trio, aged between 19 and 20, is due to appear at the Uitenhage Magistrate's Court soon on charges of murder." 

Brigadier Koll lauded members for the good work and said: "The success is the result of team work all round, from visible policing to detective members, who were at the crime scene. Your quick response and gathering of information was instrumental and resulted in arrests within a short space of time".
