Two arrested for possession of dagga worth R50 000 near Colchester
Motherwell police arrested two men in possession of 40 kilograms of dagga in Colchester on Tuesday morning.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge, said that while police officers were patrolling just after midnight, they spotted a suspicious white Toyota Etios on the N2 close to Colchester.
"On searching the vehicle, two large bags containing more than 40 kilograms of dagga was found in the boot," he described.
"The dagga has an estimated street value of more than R50 000."
The two men, aged 50 and 33 years, will appear before the Alexandria Magistrate's Court on Wednesday on charges of illegal possession of dagga.
